Campbell-

I still haven't gone shopping for stainless steel mixing cups at the commercial kitchen store yet-

But I thought I'd post the dimensions you asked me for earlier in the week. Maybe you can find one on your end of the world, too:

Case SC oil cup

Outside diameter at lip: 5-3/8" (+/- 1/16")

Inside clear diameter: 5-1/8"

Overall Height: 3-1/2" (+/- 1/16") [1-3/4" vertical, 1-3/4" curved]

Base (Flat circle at bottom of cup:) 7/8" dia.

That's the best I can do on this cup, it's a little dinged up.

Thanks for the dimensions. So far no luck in finding another by scanning the web through various cooking suppliers. I know that there was a similar mixing bowl made once, as I have one that came with my first house. Unfortunately I dont know the source, but the dimesions are just about dead on other than the bottom being a little flatter. They probably stopped making them because as a mixing bowl its pretty tippy. Also it has a hinged, hanging loop tacked on one side. Will keep looking though. Do a lot of people need these?

Boy, nothing like getting personal. What cup size are you? I had to add this. The teenager in me I guess. Glenn F.

Mine has a dimple in the bottom of the cup for the ball on the bail to snap into. Does your cup have a dimple?:^)

Hey Todd,

Mine had a small dimple in the middle, and two "troughs" that were dented in leading to the middle. Looked like a spot where the wheel had been rolled (or forced) time and time again. Wore a pinhole at the crease that I plan to solder tomorrow.

I took a steel bar and a ball peen hammer today and took out all the dimples I could beat on.

Maybe I took out one too many??!
