What do I have? The serial plate has the EX stamped right after the S, partially over the first numbers of the serial number. After searching this sites archives it seems to mean export. Where could it have been exported to and how rare does this stamping make it?

Well, if the filter would only let me post it, I would tell you exactly what kind of a tractor you have. Maybe you can put it into the half time show at next year's Super Bowl.

Adam,

According to the LeTourneau book, there were 3,627 S-EX tractors made.

They don't appear to be rare. However the orchard export SO-EX are rare... with only 70 made.

I think Australia was one of the places they got exported to. I seem to remember that there's somebody who posts to this board from Australia that has a D-EX.

I have an assignment for you: can you post a picture?

Two or three times a year- somebody posts onto this board to say they've got an S-EX model. They ALWAYS say they are going to post a photo "soon"... and then they are never heard from again. (grin)

I like the "S" series- and I've always wanted to see one- and would like to see if there are any visible differences between a standard "S" model.

The tractor is in a snowbank right now but I can try to get a couple pictures to post.
