Hi Guys,
I'm going to dig-in to these brakes again soon and would like any current ideas that make them user friendly. (these don't have the bands. Same as earlier Case tractors)It has a loader and hoe and must have good brakes. The right side will slide on dry pavement but tends to be abrupt and tends to lock until tractor comes to a stop. I could live with that but left side doesn't do much. The only difference between the sides is the right has one new Case brake disc. The other discs are used but look good. I sanded all the discs and surfaces with 80 grit. The balls have a thin coat of "never-sieze". Thought this would keep the balls from rusting but I'm wondering if its keeping the balls from climbing the ramps? Has anybody tried valve grinding compound on the balls? Seems that would give a grip to the balls.
Thanks Guys, email address isn't blocked.
Dennis.....
