I am tinkering with a 530 case industrial tractor and a 75-100 hp six cylinder engine.I want to pull it at the local tractor pull this fall, and there is a class for home made and no prize/no rules pulls. My question is will the driveline take the power? I have pulled some logs and a disk with it ,but never anything that'd work it hard.It is just built out of junk I had laying around ,but I don't want to completly ruin it since it does work. Anybody sooped up a 530 before? ps. It's a 262 ci Allis engine.

Interesting. That 262 is not a overly big repower, I believe they were in D19 tractors , and they had a power director that got used a lot. Being in a light weight 530 is a big help. The rear end ring and pinion is the same as a VAC. You judge it from there. Don L.

Thanks Don. Got any snow up there in Minnesota? I think the rear end will take the strain ,I don't plan to let the engine rev up like it was set up for on the combine ,I'll try to keep it down to 50 HP or less,My book says a d19 Allis is 71 pto hp,that sounds a little high to me.I just don't know what to call it,maybe a CALLIS or a Case Chalmers..
