Do any of you guys know where I can find a set of worm gears for the Delco conversion Dist. that fits the flange drive on the SC / DC? I think it is the same as the WC / WD Allis. Thanks Guys

I bought a set of gears years ago from M & L Repair, Mark Schraut @ 205 S 1st St Royalton MN 56373. Phone 320 584 8093. He does the swap meet scene with rebuilt dist/carbs etc. Mostly green stuff if you can believe that! Be sure and disassemble that little gearbox and clean out that dried up grease! Use a good synthetic grease like Mobil 1 or Amsoil.

Don't know if they have the gear parts for the right-angle Delco, but Scott Supply (605.996.7704) has the tune-up stuff for them in stock. Parts man once told me they can get any parts for them. They also have a watts (1.800.952.2308) but it might be "in-state" only. They are in Mitchell, SD & will ship. They are an "old-line" I-H dealer-have been in business for at least three generations. The right angle Delco was also used on the letter series Farmalls. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

Be very careful - distributor is a naughty word on this board (but I have one on my tractor):^)

Yes I know. When John talks like that it goes in one ear and out the other. His tractors don't HAVE to run every day no matter what the weather to feed 200 head of hungry bovine either! I would have liked to see his 6 volt battery start my DC's this morning at -32 with a 25 gpm hyd pump on the crankshaft! One of these days I will have Mike or someone post pictures of my 3 DC's that run every day, rain or shine, 100 degrees, or -40. Keep warm out there!

When Schotte posted that he had ants in his magneto I just had a field day teasing those guys about the trouble with mags. Not quite as cold here, only 6 degrees this AM but they are calling for the temp to drop today and a little more snow by tonight. I really prefer to plow that 26 or 27 degree snow. A little heavier but more comfortable on the old bones.

Speaking of critters living in mags. I have a 30 CC that had a honey bee hive in it when I bought it. Took about 3 hours to clean it up. They would have a tight fit getting into my dist.
