I am looking at a 1980 580c Ldr/bkh and the owner says he feels it will need brakes. I know that wet systems need time to warm up in the cold. Does anyone have any experience w/ this model?
Have you heard / know of any "brake" problems?
Anything other regular go wrong with this model?
Thanks

Guess if you want more info on the brakes do a search here for brakes 580c and you will find out a lot of info. As for spec"s find a manual.

First of all the 580c does not have a wet brake system, they are dry. They are not hard to replace and not very costly. There not the best brake system around but work better than the B model. The 580C is a very good machine for its age. A brake job wouldnt stop me from buying it.

Maybe I'm misinformed. How do I find out the exact spec's on the machine I am looking at?
