i recently replaced my 52 sc manifold with one off an older sc i have.it seems to be shorter as the carb now seems to sit higher
than the air cleaner. does anyone make a reproduction manifold thats correct ?or will this be ok?im under the impression that the 52 engine and later are different than earlier models.

As far a s I know there are no reproduction manifolds available. I've seen 2 different manifolds on the SC's with the "around the hood discharge". The older style has a "rectangular" shape to it just below the outlet elbow (viewing it from the side). The newer ones have more of a "V" shape. There may have been yet another style mainifold for the late models?

Mine appears to be the rectangular old style type.

What is the serial # off of your tractor? I've got a CD rom with all the case serial # off of tractors less than 100 hp. Also, I currently have an SC manifold for sale.

I checked and before 5600000 the ser. # was 5622A and after it was A5622A. I don't know as I've seen a casting with two a's on it before. Drop me a note on my email and I'll send you a pic of the one i've got.
