I just picked up the VAIW that I was asking questions about the other day it is S/N 4926560
it was used by the military, I can tell this because it is painted GREEN and has USA 1020845 painted on the side, also has allot of red paint over several areas, is this original, also it has little sheet metal fenders that don't even cover the first set of tires (has deulies in the rear) are these original or have the Cast ones been replaced? what is the value of these, what year is it. all this info would be greatly appreciated allong with anything else you have to throw in.

Thanks
Brad D

Brad, I don't have my materials with me but I can tell you that that serial # would be for a 1945 model. The VAIW was sold extensively to the military, so much so that the operators manuals had specific instructions on how to render them useless to enemy forces if there was fear that it would be captured by them. There was a VAIW3 and VAIW4 model the VAIW4 was the duel wheel mode. Hope this helps.I should be able to dig up a little more info.
