Anyone have a gas or diesel engine for sale for a 530? Not sure what other model tractor engines will work. Preferrably diesel. -Greg

530 farm tractor, if diesel, used the 188 engine. This engine was also used in industrial equipment, like 580CK - maybe also the 530CK (not sure about that one though). Also in several small crawlers. It can be replaced with a 207D (same block but slightly more power). I've got a good low-hour 207D, but don't want to sell it without getting rid of the very-beat-up 580CK that's sitting next to it right now (that has a blown 188 engine in it).

Central New York State, 20 miles from Cooperstown, Cobleskill, or Oneonta. 50 from Albany or Binghamton. As I said the hoe is beat up and the radiator and front end is off it at the moment. I was in the process of pulling out the blown 188 when I stopped working on it. Old engine can be out in 10 minutes. That's why I haven't dragged it out of my shop. If I pull it out like it is, I'll never get it back in.

I have an offer of $1000 for the engine. I don't want to sell it unless I get rid of the 580CK backhoe that sits along side of it in my shop. I want $2200 for the whole mess - pick up and dragged out of my shop. If I sell the engine, the hoe is absolutely no good to me. I might, at some point in time, put the new engine in the hoe and use it or sell it. I've already got two other hoes, so I don't need it. Thus my lack of inspiration.

Well, shoot me an email with the details on it, like what all is wrong with it, maybe I would be interested. The price seems pretty good but I guess it sounds like it might be in pretty bad shape. Oh, include where you are located. [email protected] -Greg
