TOM I JUST CAME IN FROM TRYING LP HEAD ON HIGH DOMES DC FRED IS CORRECT With out a head gasket I could depress the valve 350 thousanths before touching the piston top You might need 24 volts or a compression relief to start LOL

BILL THANKS I THINK 12 WILL TURN IT IF NOT I HAPPEN TO HAVE A GEAR REDUCED STARTER IF I CAN MAKE IT WORK MAKE IT SOUND LIKE A HEMI TOM

bill Glad to hear of your success, we didn't check clearances, but we were pretty confident that our source was reliable. The 6 volt starter works fine on 12 volts, never had to do anything to it yet after 17 yrs. they must be pretty tough. good luck, and happy pullin' Fred
