Just learning Case tractors.Does all VAC's have the big belt pulley or just some of them. Is there a lever to shut it off or does it always run. Thanks for some info.

There's a bolt and lock nut on top of the pulley housing. To disengage the pulley so it won't revolve, loosen the lock nut and the bolt. Then pull the pulley outward. This disengages the bevel gear. Re-tighten the bolt and lock nut.

A belt pulley was an option for a VA series. You could take it off ( 4 bolts) and pull it out and put a flat plate over the hole and bolt the plate to the torque tube. that is the way the ones w/o belt pulley options were shipped
