bill It's possible we've met. I worked for kixmillers from '71-'75 Sonny & I pulled that 970 black knight back then, '72 was when she got the 504, been hooked on pulling ever since. We've had lots of fun with the DC, not easy for some to axcept getting beat by a DC & almost always the only one there but it,s still fun. Will post some pictures when we figure out how time to go get that pay check now, good luck all

I have a 51 dc, it dynoed at 50hp, with 5505 head, found a propane head, 6128 and now have it on. I also found that tractor has 4 1/8 flat tops, do not know how much hp will gain, will try pulling it soon. It really suprises the big jd's in 7500 before, I can't wait to see what it does now.

john Our pistons were taken out of another DC that a local Logger had parted out, we didn't have any luck removing the sleves from that engine so my brother-in law found a guy that bored the 4" sleves a sixteenth over for us but don't know where to get any more pistons like these today, just hope for some good luck at a salvage yard I guess. I will keep my eyes & ears open though, there are several tractor collecters around here, never know what might show up.
