I just got my 830 CK home and I was wondering how many of them were made with the fuel tank behind the seat? I have only seen 1 730, and 1 830 that way. Was it just the last year they were made? Mine is like most of them that I have seen with the fuel tank in front. The cab and duals are coming off tomorrow. If someone needs a cab let me know, it would be cheap!

I'm in East Central SD. It would not cost you many $. It will just lay in the trees and rot if no one can use it.

The 730 we had baack on the farm in my farming days had the tank in front. According to Eldon and Tom the tank was move to the back for the 770 and 870, 730 and 830 were always in front. Never seen on in the back for this series but thats not saying there couldn't have been but those two guys know more about it than I ever did.

The serial # on mine is 8315611 and the tank is in front. I don't know the exact year, but have always been told it's a later model. And as luck would have it, just picked up a cab New Year's Day. Have fun.

All 3 of my 930's have the tank behind the seat, my earliest 930 is a '63, I think from '64 on, all of the 730-830's were made that way

Boy did I screw up, don't know what I was thinking about, that's what I get for being on here in the middle of the night half asleep. I went back & looked at buyers guides & literature & realized I was wrong. Sorry
