This is for the Stewart Warner gas 300 & some 400 series BROWN as opposed to Diesel 530 BLACK (no personal experience with others).

1. Overall gauge panel configuration and dimensions are the same, will mount in either dash. Gauges are the same physical sizes and arrangement. Speedo and tach sweeps are OPPOSITE.

1. Fuel gauges are the same. Face plate interchange is two screws. Sender is same (240-30 ohms).

2. Oil gauges are mechanical: 300 = 0-30 psi, 530 = 0-75 psi. Face plates riveted.

3. Temp gauges, 300 is mechanical, 530 is electrical. Face plates riveted. 530 to 300 change requires drilling to change face plate and mounting to back cover. Sender is Case p/n a21462. I have done this and it isnt difficult.

4. Ammeters same. face plates are riveted.

5. Tachometers and speedometers are all the same permanent magnet drag cup movement. Same frame and basic drives except bearing lube arrgt. (wick versus oil hole). Pointer sweep is determined by direction of cable drive, opposing spindle spring winding and drag cup stop tab. The only thing I have done here is replace the 300 tach hour counter & gear drive assembly and both pointers with same from a 530.

David, I just checked my old 530 panel against the one on ebay. It is exactly the same except I can't read the oil press (0-75 psi?) on the ebay one.

The speedometer on the 530 and 300 sweep left to right. The tach on the 530 left to right and on the 300 right to left.

The panel face is the same except color, 300 tach numbers right to left and one pto marking @ 1750 rpm.
