I had a local painter(artist) repaint mine. He brightened up all but the smallest numbers. I agree with pitching in and help Don-L if he can reproduce. Maybe the winning bidder can loan it out for a while....

That gauge on ebay is not what I hoped it to be. I want a complete {brown]Stuart Warner set up for the old 300 and such. That what the folks are calling for, not so much as the newer ones. I hope to have the fenders skins done very soon for the late DC / early 830. Look to have the first proto types this month! Don L.

Hi caseman-d,

Yep- that thing sure is pretty. I bet is sells for more than the tractor it goes on would!

I'm betting that Don is going to have a fun time getting that particular guage reproduced. If he can pull it off though, it would be a money maker for sure...

The backplates would be easy, but those quadrant style gauges and housing sure ain't going to be done with "off the shelf" parts.

While we are talking about guages... how come the SC and DC repro ones look so crappy? The aren't even CLOSE to looking like the originals. As far as I can tell, all they did was add the word "CASE" to a universal guage.

Maybe we should all pitch in together with Don. He would probably give us a discount on the repos. (I need two of them)

Hey Mike: I tried to get the temp guage for that dash reproduced and no one would do it. S-W won't even talk. As for those repro. SC-DC guages, they are made in India. They are a good inexpensive alternative. No one should pay anywhere near what the domestic guage is selling for.
