I was wondering how many Case VAC-14s were made and if they are hard to find. I miss my 1950 VAC and would like to get a VAC-14 in the future hence the question.

Guys, go into the YT main page and click on Case on the upper part of the screen. Then on the left side click on the VA profile spot. You will get a pretty good review of the VA series. Kudos to YT for this option! Mine is one of the last ones made. 57. VAC-14, SN 6002899. Crapped out on me last summer. Think I spun a bearing. If I decide not to fix it it will be for sale. Has eagle hitch, front bucket, new loaded rear tires, wide front, 12 volt conversion. Not a looker, just a worker for the last 20 years. It is in mid upstate NY at my "camp". Also have a real good back blade and a brush hog for it. If anyone is interested in a project, send an email to me at billndodie@msn.com and I will reply when I make up my mind on fix or not. Probably some time this spring. Can email pics as well.

Check some of the other VAC forums for others into cases. There's a guy out there called "caseman_d" that seems to really know his stuff.

Hope this helps.

Hello LeRoy. Well, according to CASE, they made 7016 of them from 1952-1955, and I own 3 of them. Nice handy things with the wide front and 3pt.

Jim,

I've seen one and then another one a few weeks ago on Ebay. The seller was from PA and a dealer who travels and picks things up. Did all of the VAC-14s have the eagle hitch? I have Case VAC literature but none for those years.

Well, from what I know, all of them had 11-28" rear rubber, wide fronts(early ones were converted VAO's), eagle hitch, low seat, and your choice of up or down exhaust. I have ONE sales brouchure on the VAC-14, could send pics to you of it later. All in all, I have 4 late model VAC brouchures, and several magazine ads. I paid $850 for my last one about a year ago running good with decent tin. I saw the one on ebay and it looked rather crappy for the price, but they aren't real popular over there. I live about 30 miles west of Racine, WI, so we have CASE's coming out of our ears. Where do you live? There was a couple for sale around here a while back.

I have a VAC-14 I bought years ago and have used it alot and it is still a good dependable tractor. Mine is wide front, however I have seen both the tricycle front and a single wheel front VAC-14. my guess is the single wheel front is the most rare. GOOD LUCK!!

Jim,

I live in eastern PA wished I lived closer but I have had tractors truck out of Kansas (got one there waiting to come home). The last VAC I had was a 1950 that I got for $700. It ran well but had seen it a rough life. I sold it to a friend who had it restored. The guy that did the job was impressed with the internals, didn't look to used just looked like it was.

The 3 VA series brochures I have are from 1950, 1948 and either 1942/43. If you can scan a few pages and email them that would be great. My email address is lep@epix.net.

Thanks,
LeRoy
