Dave, I have one that I would sell, not sure on the year, will have to look at the serial num. I think its around 1950, does have the hyd. and a good two row cult. Has a five year old paint job. Runs good, rear tires have good tread but weather checked. One new front tire, the other one is good. You can call me at 859-375-2313 if you are interested, located in KY. David

David,

I think the 50 had hydraulics but they werent live, meaning that the clutch had to be engaged to make them work.

If this is the case let me know. Otherwise I will give you a call on Monday.

Thanks for the reply

Dave in wisc

There was a restored Eagle HItch SC at Rose Brothers Implement in Lingle Wyoming. I asked about it six or seven years ago and they wanted $2300.00 then. It was still there last May when I went through there.

When I went behind the barn it was to smoke or play with the neighbor girl!:^) Just kiddin' around. Check with dcTom about production numbers on SCs beyond 1950. They were beginning to be less popular and ones with hydraulics and eagle hitches seem to be kind of rare here in the midwest. I could be wrong but it seems that there are more DCs with hydraulics than SCs. Mine is a '44 with mechanical lift. I have adapted it to a small 7' blade for snow and light landscape work. Something you may want to consider.

Todd,

Thanks for the info, How do you keep the blade down? Did you rig a three poit type hitch.

Thanks

Dave

The blade "floats" in the down position. I got the blade level by adjusting the length of the arm that runs between the the revolving lever out of the lift motor and the C-arm bail. I can plow snow and level dirt but weight would need to be added to scrape hard dirt. I don't want to strain the lift and I don't think it would work to "lock" it down in some manner. Might be hard on the dog gear in the lift motor if it would hit something solid.
