You will have a clearance problem using the lp head. You need to use the gas head.I have a LP head on my puller, with flat top pistons, cut the head 100 thou.,and used a copper head gasket. This combo worked great for one year, beat alot a JD A's.This past year the A's came back stroked in the 600 cubic inch range. The DC fell back to 3rd 4th place.I need to add more cubes.Iwas pulling 2nd gear 4.0 mph 4000lbs & 4500 lbs.
