Hey, i'am planning to restore the 520 i have, but need some pictures of the real thing. I need to know what color came on them from the factory?
Mine is a yellow color, should it be painted flambue red. Thanks for the help.

Mike, Our 520 industrial is painted the same flambeu red as a regular 500 and has the same decals as well. It is in good condition and has not been repainted.

Mike; This the same 520 that pulled 3rd place at Plain City a couple years ago? The 520, as most Case industrial tractors, were painted at the factory according to the customer's order. Most likely this tractor was painted construction yellow from the factory. Dig or sand down a few paint layers somewhere underneath and see what the original color was... Gene

I don,t think they are the same tractor, ours was pulled down for engine work and never put back together. The engine was boxed up when we got the tractor.I plan on restoring, and pulling against some 830 JD"s!!! I should give them a run for their money with that low low 1st gear.It is a good looking machine, the tin is in great shape.
Thanks for the help.

The 500's (except the 500B Series) were painted flambeau red. I'm not positive but think the markings are the same as the 500. I seen one some time back on ytmag auction. I was bidding on it and then they just disapeared. I think I may have some pictures of it somewhere in some email files that are misplaced. I had a guy that was going to send me some pictures of one he seen as some show and I'm will se if I still have his address.

Tom, that was me that was going to send you the 520 pics, I'm not even sure where the pics are right now, I'll have to dig in the desk drawer & find them then take them to town & get them scanned to a floppy disk so I can email them to you & the other fellow. I didn't get this done because the scanner went bad. That tractor was seen at the Waverly Nebraska show a few years ago.

Roger,
Do you recall what color it was painted. I couldn't find the pictures of the one that was on yt but was sure it ws painted flambeau red. Will be looking forward to the picture. My book shows only 265 units made. 140 in 1954 and a 125 in 1956. I remember them having a straight front axle and a foot clutch.

Tom, the one I saw in Nebraska was Flambeau just like a regular 500 only it had small front tires & I think it had a straight front axle instead of arched.
