Yes a bunch of the later VACs had Eagle Hitch. The top link from a B series Rock Island tractor(300, 300B 411B etc) and the small 30 series Cases (430, 530) will work.

Are you sure??? I know the 511B and 611B are longer because of the 36" rear rubber. The 400B is the same as the 311 round nose. I use a 311 round nose top link on my VAC-14 with no problems

David,a 400B top link is the same as a 600B. A 400B has the same pto setup as a 600B making the toplink longer.

Martin & David, you are both right.

VAC, 300, 300B, & 400B all have the same turnbuckle (center piece) p/n VTA2930.

The bottom eye adjustment piece for the turnbuckle can be either the standard length VT3006 or the longer VT3162.

The top eye piece can be either G10473 (plain end)or G14068 (swivel end) for the 300 & 400 depending on the type of attachment point on the tractor.

The top eye piece for most common VAC top link is the same as the standard length bottom eye piece except threaded the opposite direction. If you have the other style VAC top link you already know it is none of the above and nothing above fits it.

joe,my parts book refers topart No.VT3162 as eye-rear-long (competitive implements and 400B series tractor). I own both a 300 and 400B and there is as many things different as the same on these tractors.

Martin, That p/n & description is the same in the Vac, 300 series, and the 300b-400b parts catalogs. It is interchangeable with the shorter VT3006.

I have to admit I am not very experienced with the 400's so have to concede to your experience. Perhaps most if not all original 400's have the longer bottom eye piece and also the swivel type upper eye piece that does not fit either VAC or 300's upper bracket.

Like David, I have used the top link from my 311b on my VAC. But to use the VAC on the 311b, the corners would have to be ground off the top eye piece. Not a very good fit here but the same length if the bottom eye pieces are the same p/n.

Yup. I agree. I guess "rear eye piece" is better than the "bottom eye piece" term that I was using. Wow, we've beat this post to death. I learned something and it has been fun. Joe

Yes we did... I always believed that the 28" tire models took the short top link and the 36" tire models took the longer one. Case in point.... my VAC-14, 211B, 311, and 530 all had the short top links on them, and the 350, 511B and both 611Bs all had the longer ones. BUT I remember when I bought my 311 years back the original owner had the longer rear piece for the top link that he said came with the tractor, but never used... So I guess it depends on what implement you were using, though I cannot figure out what piece that is.. I use the short ones (on my 28" tractors) for my Eagle hitch plows, E-10 sickle bar and drag blade.... Who Knows!!!! Case did some strange things back then.
