Just got through looking at a CC with cutoffs on the rear. Real clean tractor. Motor is stuck. Rest looks real good. The serial # is C-3109490 on the tool box plate. I looked at the serial #"s on this site and can't figure out what year it is? Any help would be appreciated? Thanks Texas Tradition

1936

Seven digits starting less than 42 use the six digit formula.

1st and fourth minus 3

C-3xx9xxx = 39-3= 1936

What part of my great Lone Star state are you in?

Check the other ones out. With wide fronts, they could either be "C"s or "CC4"s.

A C is a wheatland and will have slightly smaller diameter wider rear wheels and wider fenders that aren't as tall.

A CC4 will have taller narrower wheels, taller narrower fenders, differential brakes and there should be a lift block in between the front axle and the bolster to raise the front up level with the back.

Doc; I live south of San Antonio @40 miles. South of Floresville. I talked to my buddy about the other tractors, and there is one C or CC parts tractor. Serial # C-337347. Wide steel front, but no rear steel. The other tractor is a 1938 RC. The 3rd tractor is a 1949 SC. The tractor i looked at yesterday has some kind of wheel extensions on the back axle. Wierd looking. Thanks Texas Tradition

C 337347 should be a 1930 model.

I'm about 250 miles due north of you up Hwy 281.

The RCs are a bit rarer than the Cs, CCs L's and such. Is the RC unstyled? I'm thinking a '38 would be. If you wind up with the RC, I know wheres theres a almost complete, but somewhat rough '36 RC for parts near me.

Thee is the small possibility they could be CC3's with wide adjustable front ends too. I know they built some because I saw one at Rollag in 1992.

Thats something I've wondered about. I've never seen anything concrete about a CC3, just rumours so far.
