All our SC's, 46 on, had the cast wheels. Needed them and the weight in front for the hills. Uncle had a 41, not center exhaust, and it had the cast wheels. Wouldn't say it came that way, just that it had the cast.

I think you are right about that Mike. I have 2 (1947) S C Cases. Had the one from way back in 1955 that they have Cast wheels. It had to before 1947. Elliott

Yes, the earlier SC had stamped steel front wheels (Part#04556AB)- and the later models had the cast iron wheels (Part #5741A).

Nothing I have tells me when they made the changeover between types.

My '45SC has stamped and my '49 has cast, though.

Hey Mike; Are you sure that the Cast wheel wasn't an option that was available anytime?

Hey John,

I don't know for sure, but I don't think so.

My 1941 parts catalog only shows the stamped steel wheels for the pneumatic tires. (There were optional accessory wheel weights for the front.)

The later SC parts catalogs only show the cast iron wheels, and don't show the stamped steel wheels at all.

I used a '41 SC for years raking hay. It was a wide front and it had the cast front wheels.
