There are actually people who think Case tractors are ugly. Check out the thread on the Talk board.

The dc's, etc. might look strange, but they were the best balanced tractors in their time. My uncle made the mistake of claiming his M was better than dad's DC. After plowing side by side on both farms, dad proved him wrong.

The old ones ARE ugly! Look at that front wheel hanging out there too far, not under tractor like supposed to be, THEN, looks like they forgot to put steering on, so has this ugly arms and Bar arrangement running down outside of tractor, not tucked in like other brands. THEN, they paint them in "look at me" orange! I have an SC, but it's still ugly, even all painted pretty now! The later Comfort Kings in two-tone are nicer looking with the dual headlights in grill and such. Course NOW they are ugly again, just another RED tractor, no Case Identity anymore! Best looking tractors are Olivers and Co-ops with smooth hoods and grills flowing back to seat area.

Let me get my asbestos underwear on now, looking for the Flames!! :-P

Ive been reading the Followups on this "UGLY" issue. I'm the proud owner of several makes of tractors. Oliver-1850, 88. Ford 860-960, MM602, IH 1020-H , And also many of those "UGLY" Cases!!! V VA VC VAC VAH VAI VAIW D DO DC3 DC4 DI DV S SC SI LA 30O ROUNDNOSE 730CK AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON!!Now heres my opinon. ALL tractors have there advantages and faults. All are uniqe in ther own way.If you perfer JD, thats OK . If its MM or Oliver thats your choice, If you like red ,then by all means buy MASSEY Harris I might be one of the few, but I like ALL makes.Maybe Case holds a special place in my heart because I grew up on my late fathers Case 400 along with a Massey 50 and 65.Theres nothing worse than a tractor show or club that will only show 1 make of tractor! I won't even go to these shows!! If Case is not your "thing" then thats you choice. The main subject to remember is" old iron is what made agriculture what it is today and we need to preserve all makes of tractors "! Its heritage. Its history. Its the right thing to do. Just my 2 cents worth Doug Franks

The only reference to ugly I see is where a fellow put truck spindles&wheels on a DC adjustable wide front. Apparently the factory looks were seriously altered. I don't think he was referring to anything Case. Jerry

Check it again. But don't take it serious. I was just trying to bring some amusement into our already exciting lives.
