A late thanks to Don L. for the great toolbox. I've sandblasted and primered it and am in the final phases of painting it. My question is where is the right place to install. My Case is a 1941 and on the versions later than I believe 46 they put it on the right side just above the belt pulley. On previous posts Mike Schotte addressed this and pointed out that Peter Letournues (sp) book on pg 108 it had it placed beneath the seat on half on the pto guard. Unfortunatley when I looked at this pic it was a DC. Maybe this doesn't matter but I would like to make sure that where I place it is right. The problem with installing it on the right side is that the box is missing its brackets.

I don't know if it was original, but our 1941 SC had the tool box at the base of the right fender down on the axle housing.

My 1948 SC has the toolbox under the seat as you describe seeing the one on the DC. I can take a couple pictures if you need 'em. E-mail me with your address if I can help. [email protected]
