I need to find a Military data plate for my tractor. Do you have one or know of someone who may have a parts LAI. Who has a guess how many of these tractors have survived? How many were manufactored? Were they all set up the same way as far as wheel weights, etc.? Does a Military website or discussion forum exist for this type of Military stuff? Thanks for any ideas, Alan

Check the Military Vehicle Preservation Assoc., maybe you can find something from there. Click the link.

Also try G503.com which is a jeep site but they have other stuff in some of the message boards. I don't think many of the military folks are too worried about the lowly tractors, most are hard core jeep, truck, tank etc...

Good luck, Fireman in KY

I've only seen one military LAI picture- the tractor with the side curtains and the black-out lights(the one you see in all the books)

I don't have that one scanned yet and in my gallery. I do have a picture of a military I.D. tag, though. Don't know if they were the same through the years, or not.

There's a couple of guys around here that collect the military models, maybe they can help you out.

Thanks for your response. Do you have a better picture of the Military data tag? If I can't find one I will try to get one made. What is the size of the tag? I will email the fellow you refered me to. Regards, Al

That tag picture came off of a photo from an Ebay auction. I've already photoshopped it to make it as readable as I can (it was underexposed originally.)

Sorry I can't be of more help.

-Mike
