I found a 830 Case Wheatland diesel that is in really nice condition. The tractor has set in a barn for 20 years without running. The owner said that when it was parked, it ran fine.

Does anybody have a ball park value of this tractor? I am thinking about shooting an offer.

Figure on around a thousand to rebuild engine if its stuck. $1000 might get you sleeves & pistons & bearings, It was around $200 per hole on a 730& 930 spark ignition engine a few years ago, diesel may be cheaper since they are more readily available, with spark engines you got to go back to Case for sleeves/pistons, then you may have work to do on the top end too

They always say " It was running when I parked it". Then why didn't it run off to Mexico or someplace warm to retire? Most anything might bring $1000 or more if running as a general rule around here or less if not running. Condition, tires, fluids? Operator wear on steps, seat, steering wheel? Hitch wear? Leaks? Cab? Accessories? Parts missing?? $300-$3500 ??
