CC Steering Gear

Will the steering gear from a DC fit in the transmission housing of a CC? I can't understand why the steering gear in the 1930 CC is worn out after all it's been almost 75 years. I have a DC for parts and am wondering if the internal parts will fit in the transmission cover. I would rather not swap covers, because I would like to keep the CC original.

Thanks in advance.

Dan

Dan, pull the arm off the shaft coming out of the box and then turn the steering wheel until you have turned the shaft half way around. Then reinstall the arm and if this has not been done before you will have almost new steering. It just lets you operate in a new position on the steering gear.

Great idea Larry. Problem with that is the shaft coming out is screwed up also. It may be the arm that is not right. I will check it and see. If it is the arm, then I will swap it and move the steering wheel around. Thanks for the thought.

Dan
