Sky and I discovered a busted valve spring on the SC tonight. Are new ones still available? I have emailed Don L. but wouldn't mind some input from the usual suspects.

Don't let it get you down. Bad luck floats around and lands on us all from time to time. I told my wife that I would start remodeling the house after harvest. 2 weeks ago tomorrow (Sat) we finished shelling corn. That night my daughter pushed in one of the walls on the tiled shower and the remodeling thus began. I don't know whether to : ( or : )

Forgot to mention that the magneto needs help. Bunch of nigglin little things keeping that masheen from performing up to expected standards. All of those little things cost money, of course ":^(

Your dejected?! I'm the one who has to pull the head! (let the the truth be known I think the whole thing rather a chuckle.Ha!) $126 sounds expensive but it would be money well spent. Amen.

Sky,if just need to change a valve spring, you donot have to pull the head just put some air pressure in the cylinder and replace the spring.

Regarding those repair costs...remember- the Sky's the limit! (grin)

Seriously- hope the old girl is back on her feet soon. What kind of trouble are you having with the magneto, and which kind do you have on there?

Sorry, I don't have any knowledge (or parts) for the WICO mags (yet.)

I bet ol' Glen Schueler will be along directly to help you out, though...

Thank you all, I have just filled out an order form for a new coil. I am not down hearted at all, I just say "if Lesters money can fix it there's no problem." It was no big deal to pull the head, the tractor is only half assembled any way.

Ok, I'm back. Sounds like you may have got fixed up on the mag. If not let me know. Have all parts for the Wico and others and copies of magneto service manuals for different models and makes for you do-it-yourselfers too. Or if you got a question just ask. Good luck.
