Greetings, fellow Case owners...
I recently picked up a 444 for $550 Cdn ($400) that seems to be in pretty good shape. It's a little sunfaded and rusty, but it runs well enough (I think)...Being a novice, I need some advice: what's my best course of action to ensure the 14HP Kohler is running at its best and the rest of the tractor is fine mechanically. Was there anything in particular to watch out for in this model? Did I get a good deal for that price? I am willing to invest a little money to get this unit running well. Any advice/guidance would be much appreciated!

Hello, I'm Bill Of Whitelaw WI USA. Intersting. If you turn the lawnmower attatchment on, and the lawn looks shorter after you have driven over it, then you got a good deal. That is all the fun of the tractor trade. Enjoy it! PS Kohler is only 30 minutes down the road.
