Charger: just what dose this tractor look like, is it real narrow like only 4 feet wide, dose it have 24 inch tires on the rear and 6.00x16 tires on front?

DINT 5616361 was built may 9 1952 and shipped to r w blair equipment co in conn, may 18 1952 the ink is all blurred and cant read name of town let me know if this is your tractor, di narrow tread's are rather rare as only 445 were built will make a very good project for your 4-h club dctom

THE FRONT END OUTSIDE TO OUTSIDE OF THE TIRES MEASURES APP. 58IN. THE REAR TIRES ARE 38IN. ON 6 SPOKE WHEELS THEY ARE ADJUSTABLE IN AND OUT ON A ROUND STOCK AXLE. THE FRONTS ARE 9.50X16IN. ON SOLID CASE 3-STUD WHEELS. i AM STILL CONFUSED ABOUT THE DC-4 ISSUE ALL THE PICTURES OF DC-4 IN THE TRACT. PHOTO SECTION OF THIS (AWESOME) WEBSITE APPEAR TO LOOK EXACTLY LIKE OURS THE DC WITH THE FRONT WHEELS DO NOT. ARE WE MISSING SOMETHING?? IS OURS JUST A D?? THIS TRACTOR AS FAR AS I KNOW WAS PURCHASED IN MANITOBA CANADA??
WE REALLY APPRECIATE THE HELP WE ARE RECIEVING... REGARDS, PETE..

From what you describe it should be a DC-4 with adjustable rear wheels and the round front. The serial is also stamped on the block on left side towards the rear where it connects to the transmission housing. See if it says anymore than "D" there.

Pete; i will look up the build card on that tractor tomorrow and give you the date built and where shipped and tire sizes,

you must remember that all D series tractors were the same except for axles and wheels, diffeerent wheels and axles made a diffeerent tractor dctom

If you only have a "D" after the serial number it is a "D" rather than a DC-4. The "D" has fixed axle on the front and rear whereas the DC-4 has an adjustable rear axle. Its a 1951 model according to the serial number. Most of the newer tractors of that vintage had the 3 rib front tires. 7.50 X 16.
