Klyde sent me this picture today and wanted it posted so everybody could see it-

third party image

If you look closely in the lower right hand corner, it's dated "1938" in blue ink.

Hey Don Rudolph- have you got this dealer in your Case list?

(waiting for Klyde to tell us the rest)

I think it is more likely that the "L" in the background has black rims ,red center ,and silver goodyear lugs like the "R".The "C" probably has solid red

First off thanks alot Mike. You the man! OK, picture is from the 1938 Palmyra Fair. Don't know if it was the Wayne Co. fair then or not. In case you have'nt figured the tractors out. C Case in the front, L to the left ( uncle JJ O'Meal is leaning his elbow on the rear tire) RC to the right with binder hooked to it. New Idea husker shredder back center. The C is the only one that appears to have red wheels and rims. RC has black rims and red wheels. I thought the L had black rims and wheels but maybe not, They sure got dressed up for the fair!

I beg to differ. That is a C, due to the fact that the rear wheels would be taller and narrower if it were a CC4. It would also have shorter fenders. (I have one of EACH in my backyard.)

Nice call Brian. You're 100 % right. Good eye.

I was looking at it real close to see if it was a CC4 and also failed to see the riser between the front bolster and the front axle to level it it out with the taller rear tires.

That other dude better check his C and see if someone nabbed it and left a CC in its place to fool him.

Probably just another CASE of Green Brain Rot

Like I have said many times before... That isn't green paint on that tractor.. it is fungus. Ruins brain cells in a New York second...

Nah, a CASE man wouldn't have a broken arm.

It's those OTHER tractor's steering wheels that will get ya'!

Is the tractor the men are leaning on a LI? The reason I ask is, the steering wheel is high like maybe the seat was high also like all LAI's.

I also would suspect its an LI. The other tip off for me is the very short air stack.

Am I the first to point out the tractor in the foreground is not a L.? Look at the inspection holes... they are in the pan, L's are in the block.

I know that the tractor in the foreground is a "C". The tractor that the men are leaning on is the "L".

Even though it's a black and white photo, you can clearly tell that the L has different color wheels than the other two tractors in the photos.

I'll try to be more specific next time I post a photo.

I'm sorry for misunderstanding you.

BTW-- in you photo gallery, you have one picture mislabeled. On the bottom row, you have a pic labeled Case 12-20, and the tractor pictured is not a 12-20. I believe that it is a 15-27, due to the lack of a Case Eagle on the radiator, and the wheels do not have the stamped spokes.

THe tractor in the foreground is a "C", and I could tell by the heights and the design of the fenders and platform.
