I have a 530 backhoe with dual range and shuttle transmission, the engine and the rearend are shot. I found a 530 farm tractor with caseomatic, ugly but everything works. Heres the questions ,Will my rear axles and housings fit in the farm tractor? Will my shuttle work with the caseomatic? I don't care about the dual range cause the backhoe only needs 2 gears anyway(foreward and reverse). I just need to know if any parts will interchange .

Thanks ahead.

Went by the farm yesterday where the Cases live and got the numbers: 530 CK trans cast is G1096 and the 530AG is G1030. This number is by your left foot as you sit on the tractor. Really, how bad is your trans/diff??? It might be a whole lot easier to fix the one you got instead of hauling whole tractors for parts lots of miles. I know of used Case parts in Cal and one here in NY. I am sure that there are some in your area, might check with a dealer that had Case in the old days, as the parts guys often have to resort to used parts or know someone who has parts. Can try an ad here on YT Mag.

The Torque tubes are different between the Case-o Matic and the dry clutch but the bolt pattern where they bolt to the transaxle are the same.I believe you can use the torque tube and shuttle from the industrial tractor. The transaxle housings and axle housings are different as well. The internals of the transaxle are pretty much the same.Basically the Industrial transaxle is designed so that the axle housings mount higher on the housing so the tractor has a much lower profile. You can use the industrial axles and wheels in the farm rear housings the tractor will be a little taller. You migh want to just consider changing the motor and front bolster/steering and the rear axle shafts,in any case it is a lot of work.I have the parts manual and could send necessary scans if you need them.
Hope this helps

Hi, George is correct. The thing I would stress is do you have a tractor model number? DO you have a 530-H or 540-H(gas engine)Utility Tractor with a model 31 loader & hoe or a 530CK with model 32 loader & hoe? I think you need to know exactly what you have first. Best wishes, Dennis.....

There is a yes and no answer to your question. If the donor tractor has the same casting #s on the diff/trans case, you will be ok. If it is different, and I'd have to look in the books to get them, then it will not work. What part of the country are you in?? Maybe I can put you on to a source. I have both the 530 CK and a 530AG utility/wfe model and the trans/diff are not the same. Look similiar but where the axle housings bolt to case are different angle of the bolt pattern. The guts will probably interchange ok, have to verify with parts book on that. Hope this helps, George S.

I am in Missouri and the other tractor is in Ohio.
The other option I have is to put the hoe /loader onto the new tractor and change the front axle. Then I would have a backhoe with light weight power adjust rims,I dont know if my 24"ind wheels would bolt up to the axle mount hubs on the ag tractor.

Chris, in Clinton, MO you will find a tractor bone yard. If you call them and tell them what you are looking for they can tell you if the have that will work regardless if it is from an ag tractor or not. I found 580ck parts there myself. I am sorry, I don't remember the name of the shop, but it is on 7 hwy as you exit Clinton, KC bound. I seem to remember Cook's Tractors and maybe that would be enough for phone diretory service.
