I've been debating on fixing up my 1200TK for about a year now. Will it be worth the trouble and time to fix the crab steering, repair the brakes, get the alternator to charge, replace three badly cracked tires, replace most of the glass in the cab. The previous owner said it uses some oil too, but that is cheap. Should I park it in the corner for a while or trade it in on one of those newer 1470's, 2470's or 4490's? I have a lot of the flambeaus and would like a bigger reliable tractor to do some farming with.

I'm afraid the 1200 wouldn't have much trade-in value. It all depends on how much you want to spend on parts, or sell it to John and spend the same amount on a different one.
