Hi folks..... I just bought a 1959 Case 320 loader/backhoe and need to find out how to remove slop from many of the pivot point on the hoe and the loader. What is the best way to rebush these points? Thanks..... ..... ..... .....Wyatt Fawley

Hi,
I'm assuming this is your first hoe? The pins and bushings are both heat treated steel. You'll want a parts manual for your hoe model number. Some pins and bushings will be available if they cross-over to a newer machine. You'll have to make the rest I'm afraid. This may help: The stabilizers on my 530 doesn't have bushings. I mig welded the holes where the most wear was in the stabilizers. The pins were 1-3/4", I enlarged to 2" pins.
I'm sure many pins and bushings would work with slight modifications but which ones???
Best wishes, Dennis.....

Thanks Dennis..... .It's the first backhoe I've owned. My stepfather was an excavating contractor here in Pa and while I have a fair amount of experience running his 580CK cleaning up the property following his retirement and relocation...I have no practical experience in maintaining the machine. I was a Sears lawn and garden tech full time for 12 years, so I'm not a stranger to mechanics either....just most of the hoe stuff is a mite larger than a garden tractor.

I looked today and I can see that nearly all of the bushings are easily removable. I'll probably just need to locate a good machine shop.

Thanks for taking the time..... ..... .....Wyatt

Were you successful in finding stock pins to fix the slop? I just got a 320 that will probably need much of the same fix?

I haven't had much time to devote to this of late, but the Case dealer says they can get them. I'm more inclined to have them made. There's a place in Eighty Four, Pa that does that kind of work...or so I'm told. Sorry I can't be of more help right now....too many irons in the fire..... ....Wyatt

Only have had an hour to operate my 320, enough to know the radiator is full of rust and the batteries dead. Did dig a hole, all is functional but needs a lot of tlc. Thanks for the input at least theres hope of a resurection!
