Glad to hear you have it running, Les! They are great tractors. Whats the serial # on yours? My '44 SC's # is 4809716SC. Just wondering how many were built between them. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

jal-sd, you must remember that all tractors were numbered consective, there could be 300 numbers between yours and his but only one or two SC's DCTOM

Really! Thanks, I didn't know that-more familiar with IH than Case & IH numbered all the same model consecutively. Assumed they all did it that way, but then you know what assume usually means. (Another $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

cant you get it up on a trailer???? I had to move mine 15 miles, local tractor dealer moved it for 50 bucks had to wait a few days until they had delivery in the area they swung by and got it. Owner just had me tip driver the 50 bucks, ironicaly it was a John Deere dealer but they did it. tires were falling apart but held air

Oh sure we could get it on a trailer but why ruin all the fun of driving it home?

Ain't much different to show really. If it ever gets painted, it sure isn't gonna be this year. Be lucky if I get it the 10 or 11 miles from his place to mine afore winter sets in. You have heard of winter, haven't you? We invented it here in NH. (There is some dispute about that).

I've heard of winter... but have never actually seen one.

All we get in Texas is sleet and hail. Don't see much snow unless you're up in the Panhandle.

I can remember when you were waiting for the snow to melt so you could go see this tractor! (should we have talked you out of it??)

Thornton/Woodstock. Just south of Lincoln where the tractor actually resides for now and where I spent all day yesterday in the woods up near Loon Mountain ski area looking for one of your Mass. residents. As far as I know the little boy still hasn't been found. If he was anywhere near I was looking he must have been quite a climber.
You gotta come up to my tractor show next July. You'll see a few Cases. This ain't exactly farm country, as I'm sure you know. ";^)
