Well, I'm packing up for the 5-1/2 hour drive to Galveston early tomorrow morning - gotta head out there to be a part of my best friend's wedding.

He's my oldest friend (in years known), and is the last of my unmarried friends. Never thought he'd beat me, though.

I'm going to turn 36 on the 18th of this month... and I have to admit that I'm starting to wonder if that's ever going to happen for me.

I guess if you go by common law rules, I'm married that damn tractor!(grin)

You guys be good and have yourselves some fun while I'm gone. I'll be sure and say hi to the Gulf of Mexico for you.

-Schotte
(wondering when the Glen Campbell song is gonna start...)

Hey, Mike

If your going down 45 or 59, you could stop in on the way back and check out my Case and Allis collection. I live half way between Conroe and New Caney. If interested, email me for directions.

Duane

Hi Duane,

Thanks for the invite to see your collection. I turned off the computer and hit the road right after posting that note- so I didn't see your response.

Regards, -Schotte

Hey Mike; Have a good time!! There is a lot to be said for the single life, collecting old iron comes to mind. I'll bet you start telling women your building a bank and you got the vault combo, you'll have women swarming all over.

Nuts! Now I'm going to have this stupid old song in my head for the next couple of days. How does it go? Galveston, ooh Galveston, I still hear your (something missing???) winds blowing. Well, I guess I can call the local oldies station and have them play it. BTW you are just a pup! I am five years older than you! And where did you get that steering wheel???

"I still hear your seawinds blowing" "I still see your dark eyes glowing"
"She was 21, and I loved Galveston"

Boy, does that take you back or what!?!

You beat me to it, Baggsy. But I think the correct words are "She was 21 when I left Galveston".

I think you're right, Les! I was just going from memory here, and it ain't worth much anymore. I think I heard that Glen Campbell is playing in Branson Missouri now. That guy could really wang the guitar when he wanted to!
