I found guy who has a VAIW that he wants to sell me. I'm going to go look at it in a couple weeks. He says the motor is stuck. I'll let you help me figure up what might be a reasonable price for it after I look at it. I knew you were an Case industrial tractor kind of guy.

There's a VAIW for sale in Mass up by the N.H. border. I know the guy trying to sell it. He's asking $250. because it's missing the radiator mount. ( a big cast iron piece) I believe the rest of it is there....Course it's probaly too far away....Ain't that the way it always is?

I paid $400.00 for my VAIW. The motor was stuck and seat cushions were rotted out. I can e-mail a before and after photo if you would like to see the tranformation...Gene

Photos would be good so that I can compare the condition of the one that you paid $400 for to this one. [email protected]

I assume this thing has the Continental engine in it? How hard are engine parts to come by? I guess it would work good for pulling a hay wagon around, but can't think of any other uses for it.

Don't get me to lying... I don't know.

I think the V's had the Continental and the VA's had the Waukesha engine.

Don't you think a VAIW with those cast iron fenders would be awesome at those places where they have pulling competitions on concrete? (grin)

Your right I think the V series had the Continental engine. I think the VA series had it up until 1947 or 1948 when they switched to Case engines. The only Case that I know of that had the Waukesha engine was the R series?

The VAIW uses the same engine as the VAC and VA series. It is a Case designed engine thet was built by Continental until 1948, when Case took over the production of it. It is overhead valve. The V series used the F124 flathead engine. I didn't have any problem finding parts for it at all. Will send the before pic a little later. Watching a DC on eBay right now... Gene

I saw a beauty of a VAIW at the Temple show this weekend. Unfortunately- I'm still without a camera. Otherwise, you would have seen it, too.

See if the guy will take a dollar for it. Heck, I'll even chip in to help you buy it. (grin)
