Well I bought the 1952 DC I was looking at, I won't have it home for a couple of weeks but I took a lot of pic's and I discovered that I am missing the cover that goes over the PTO and the swival bracket that the top link hooks up to (the original top link would be nice too but not as important) that's what I need or a good idea! I do have some ideas but the original mounting would be preferred. There are a lot of small things I also will need to fix but other then that it's a pretty sound tractor for having spent most of it's life out under the stars plus it runs real good.

Hey Erroll; Good luck in your search. I always wanted to build a permanant bracket that didn't cover up the PTO, but I never seem to get it done.

Thanks John! I have a couple of ideas on how to make one and I was thinking about a plate with on the top of a couple of dog ears to use a link with a ball end like I use on the John Deere A but since I have no parts books on the DC or even the DC at my house that maybe somebody else might have improvised something. Also does anybody know what the mount is right above the left top bolt of the PTO cover right next to the PTO Clutch lever, it would not be straight on but it might be utilized for a top link??? But I am sure somebody in the last 51 years has come across this problem and fixed it with genuis :-)

I added a second mouting eye to the top PTO cover and use it as a top link when the implement needs a PTO drive. Problem is most implements don't lift very high. You can modify (raise) the tower on the implement. For winter when I use the back blade I had a bracket welded up with two ears that bolts on over the PTO shaft. That gives excellent lift with standard 3 pt back blade (but of course you can't use PTO)
