Does anybody know where to get a exhaust manifold for a 1952 Case DC-3? I was looking at the parts book and noticed they show ferrules under all exhaust and intake ports. I only had them under my intake ports. My other DC is the same way. Is that normal? and where can you find the ferrules?

Thanks,
Travis

Does anybody have Don Livingston's email or phone number? How much does a manifold cost? Thanks for all the info.

Travis

Travis I almost forgot I have several D series exhaust manifolds. The DC is the same as the DC-4, D, DO, DI, just as long as you don't mix fuel manifolds. The gas manifold is a little different from the distillate one. I also have 2 propane manifolds that are different from each other. If you get a used one look closely under the air intake area for a weak area. I have found several burned into right there.

Travis,
I prefer them at intake and exhaust. You can make them quite easy with a piece of exhaust pipe. Case also offers them with a complete head gasket kit.

I never found them combined or offered with a complete gasket set but I got new gaskets and took them to the mufler store and had them expand a piece of pipe until it just barely fit through the holes of the gasket - took them home and had to cut them down slightly - just by cross cutting it and then they fit lie a glove.

I had exhaust ferrules made up for a C (same engine as D) using water pipe of near correct internal diameter, and machined down to fit manifold and head
