I cannot for the life of me get the hitch to go down on my 400. I have adjusted the speed regulator out to the point of removal at which time the hitch does go down and I get a bath of hydraulic fluid. Recently got an operators manual hoping that it would talk about the situation in the trouble shooting; it doesn't. What should I look for?

Curt, Is the hose that connects to the top of the cylinder conected to the outlet directly across from the regulator? should be on left side bottom.Should have down pressure at first notch on lever, won't hold it's self in notch but will force the draft arms down. Dale In Tx.

Dale, as I recall the cylinder bottom hose is connected to the regulator which is bottom left and the top cylinder hose is connected to the bottom right. Thus both top ports are available for two way remote cylinder. Are you saying that I need to change the position of the cylinder top hose to the top right port?

Curt, NO!! the regulator should be on the right lower valve, the hose should go to the bottom of the cylinder. The hose from the left lower valve should go to the top of cylinder. The top valve left and right are for the remote cylinder,Has the valves been taken apart? if so, some parts could have gotten left out, when lever is pulled back to float there is A pin on right side that unseats ball.Unscrew regulator, ball, spring, then pin in center should all be there.
