Being involved in pulling back when everyone pulled stock tractors I can tell you that the SC wasn't used for pulling. It was too hard to get the needed power for the weight of the tractor.

The aluminum turbo domed pistons will give you around 30 horsepower over the cast iron ones due to the higher R.P.M., more displacement, and higher compression. The problem with the "SC" being competitive is the weight to power ratio, especially if you have the cast iron wheels. Some people say that the "DC" is a better tractor for tractor pulls.

Don,

What's the part number/brand of the late model carb? Is this the pot metal one, not the cast iron one?

What year did they stop using the Zenith 9667A?
