In past I had an Oliver, and Korves Oliver was a great parts source and had lots of repros ans etc. for older Olivers. I'm looking for THAT type of place for my SC now. My dealer is helpful, yet most stuff is "No longer available" for him. I find more for VAC series than any other. I want individual gaskets and little things that most of the national tractor catalogs don't bother with. Tired of the JD and IH guys having all the parts in the world offered. IS there anyone out there?? I can find my MM parts new easier than this darn case, yet more Cases at shows than MM's. What's the deal? I need the gasket for my oil screen on pan, some for around dist. mounting area, maybe side covers on gear cases and radiator hoses. Guess I'll have to freshen up my gasket making techniques, which are marginal at best. I Did buy one of those punch kits for bolt holes and smaller curves. I just HATE doing it! Thanks for lettin' me BLOW! &^%^%$

I've been told that some individual gaskets such as the starter gasket are still available from the dealer. I always just use silicone for the oil screen gasket. If you clean the screen everytime you change the oil this gasket doesn't last long anyway. I know that V a l u - b i l t and D o n L. both have gasket sets.

Yeah, got the starter cork gasket from dealer, $10 for darn thing, don't look like it'll last too long either! I hate silicone, way it squeezes out and looks messy. Maybe I don't do right? Might try it and leave old gasket on, it's broken in couple of spots, but peices are on engine and cover and match when held up to it. So, how do I get this Don L fella?

Don Livingston is at [email protected] or 507-433-0073. If you call, do it in the morning hours. He is located in Minnesota. I guess you could always trim off the excess silicone after it dries. I never bothered to do that. I use all my tractors for farming and some of them don't look too great, but mechanically they are sound.
