Bought a Lighted, Two-Sided, CASE Sign at an
auction sale this last weekend. It states "CASE
Garden Tractors". We believe it to be in the
late 60's/70's??? If you are familiar with
case signage, please e-mail, and we can send
a photo. All help is appreciated. Would like
to know some history, how rare, and maybe what it is currently worth on the market. It is not
for sale. THANKS!

Hey Jennifer! How did you buy that sign without me knowing about it. You should sell it to me cheap cause it's not your color. CASE used the bold upper case letters thru '69. 1970 & later they used the lower case letters.(case). Us CASE collecters much prefer the earlier bold style, or block style. Tried to send this by e-mail but couldn't.

Jeff/Jennifer:

Does it look like this one?
third party image

I think this sign sold on Ebay a few months back for about $270 bucks. (it was single-sided, though)

Since I can't afford to collect the signs- I collect pictures of the signs... a link to my gallery is attached.

I was reading 150 years of J.I. Case last night, but I didn't pay much attention to the dates of when Case aligned with Colt on the garden tractors and when they sold to Ingersoll. Not really my area of interest.

I can look it up when I get home if nobody answers you in the meantime.

Mike, Case bought out Colt in the early 60's, I think it was 63 and they sold the garden tractors to John Ingersoll in late 83 as the 84 models had the Ingersoll tag on them.
