I recently brought a SC model, I believed it was made in 1942 (thanks to serial# ID on this web site). This is my first tractor and I would be very thankful to anyone that can provide any information on the following:

Same year owner/service manual.

A reference that list features between models made in 1942.

Personal experience with this model (good and bad)

Thank you for your time in advance,

AL

Are the parts numbers that are in the parts book the old numbers or the new Case/IH ones?

These look like photo copies of original manuals, I suppose they are the old numbers. What little I've had to get at Case/IH, they usually have no problem with old numbers I bring in. New to Case, I have no idea on the parts number system, new or old, sorry I can't really say. I like the "pictures" best, gotta have "pictures" for me! :-)

My problem with trying to get parts from Case/IH is that all the dealers near me are old IH dealers and they don't have any Case parts books. The only way they can order stuff for me is for me to give them the new Case/IH part number.

Did'nt b---- much the first time as I do have a 300 Int. BUT the second time he heard it! (wanted to charge a restocking fee) hahaha
