Hey Twopom,

As you probably know- the SI model is the "Industrial" version of the model "S."

I'm home now- and had a chance to look up the production figures: (From LeToourneau's Case Tractors Illustrated Buyer's Guide 2nd edition)

The SI was produced from 1942 through 1954 with the exception of years 1946 (strike year), and 1950.

There were a total of 3,740 SI units manufactured in that time frame.

Your particular tractor was made in 1952. 100 units were made in '52, and that's the lowest production number for any year except 1942, in which 100 were built as well.

I've never seen an SI in person, so I don't know the differences off the top of my head. However, I do have an SI Operator's Manual, so I can help you with some specifications if you need them.

Hope this helps- please show us pictures when you get some. I'd like to add them to my photo album.

Does the owner manual say anything about the front loader (Lull) and the weight it can handle..

Any issues with this model such as brakes, clutches or anything like that...

The Lull and Hough loaders were aftermarket equipment- so the Operator's Manual doesn't say anything about them.

There is a picture of a Case brand Model 30 power loader on an SI unit- but you'ld have to find a manual for it to find out what capacity it was rated for. (and assume that's what the tractor was designed for)

There were dual rear wheel and weight options for the loader equipped tractors, too.

Can't help you.

-S.

Hi John, how's it going? Long time no talk.

All the loader pics that I have are in my Case industrial tractor folder.

The loader on the DI is a Hough. I don't know what's on that SI.

Never seen one up close and personal... these Ebay pics are all I have to go by.

Hey Mike; I don't see you on the "Board" any more. I don't even see CASEPOWER much. Been real busy here farming. The loader I'm trying to idenify is all mechanical. A drive sprocket is driven off the front of the engine, front of the radiator, the drive chain then runs up to a clutch mechanism way above the tractor. The boom is straight vertical.

Hey Twopom, Did you buy this SI in Norfolk,Ma? I went to look at one in Norfolk a couple of months ago, and it had a Lull loader on it. The guy said it came from a railroad. Had a big diamond plate counter weight on the rear that I though was filled w/ concrete. On second thought, the guy had the operators manual for it....I could have picked it up for realy short money...Been sitting outside over 14 years had oil in the raditator, and water in the oil....It was painted yellow...

Well... phooey, Tom.

I thought I could help, but I can't. That part number isn't in any of my 3 parts manuals for "S", "SC" and "SO" tractors.

It must be a part specific to the "SI". I saw an "SI" parts catalog on Ebay about a year ago... but I got outbid on it.

Sorry, -S.
