DCtom,

B. De Vol has posted some interesting information about his Case SOEX(currently on page 3). His serial number is three higher than mine and was probably delivered to Traverse City, MI like mine. Maybe delivered together. He says that he knows of another. If you get time, could you check to see if you can tell how many were delivered to Traverse City with mine on July 26, 1949. Thanks! Daryl

Hey Men!! Were these '49's retrofitted to Live PTO & HYD like any other '53? Am I correct in assuming a Standard would not have a foot clutch?

My 1949 SOEX was, acoording to the build card, equipped with a motor lift. It does not appear that it ever had one. It has the regular rear PTO cover, but it does have the wheel brake pedals over-top the axles instead of underneath. I figure the dealer did away with the motor lift at the dealership because the customer didn't want it. Why would an orchard tractor have a motor lift anyway? All of the Case SO's I've seen have a hand clutch on the right side. Seems like I saw one on the left somewhere. Thanks for the information DCtom!
