DCtom,

I was wondering if you could help clarify some information on a build card for my SO 5309376. This tractor was built as a SOEX, but was never exported. It still carries the SOEX serial tag. I got a copy of the build information from Rich a couple of years ago, but the month of the build date is not clear. Looks like it has been marked over and can't tell if it is Jan or June 11-49. Also under special attachments it says 2684aa Full Orchard and then something I can't make out in the copy. Can you help? Thanks for your time. I know myself and the rest of the folks here are deeply greatful for this information!

Daryl I also own a 1949 case SOEX. I got the tractor in early 60s? This tractor was on the farm next to ours about 18 miles from Traverse City Mi. There was a Case dealer about 5 miles from us. This dealer would have had a Traverse City address. I also know of one other 1949 Case SOEX near by. Looking at your serial# these tractors are very close! I will go to the barn and check this week end. Where are you located?

Just two tractors between ours! Thats neat! Bet they were delivered to the same dealership together. Thanks again for the information. If I get up your way sometime, I would like to see your tractor.

Daryl: your tractor was built JAN.11 1949 and shipped to j i case co, july 26 1949 to traverse city mi. i checked card before and after and jan 11 was their build date, the ex was marked out on the card but it must have started as a SOEX and changed, it was equiped with full orchard sheet metal. ps it is a duplicate card and kind of hard to read but one before and after were the same DCtom

DCtom, Did you happen to notice if the ones before and after were SO models or SOEX's? I wonder if there are any other SOEX(export) models still in the USA. Thanks again for clarifying the information!
