Doesn"t any one have a complete engine for sale between south carolina and illinois. has to be complete. am leaving for illinois friday. Hate to buy a whole tractor to get a engine. thanks

Bill, I have an engine out of a 44 SC but ut is stuck and does not have the manifolds. Give a shout if that works - don't know how bad it is stuck - stuckenough to not turn over! Fredct

It wouldn't surprise me none if you had to do just that. Two of my brothers drove from NH to Colorado to get an LA engine out of an old tractor in a boneyard and bring it home.
I think if I had a chance to buy an SC engine for a reasonable price and nearby, I'd probably take it. You just aren't likely to find one like that. At least that's my opinion, for what little it's worth.

Thanks for comments, but the tractor that i am looking for a motor is a vegatable tractor. wide axles and a single front wheel. motor is bad from rocker arms, head, and rear piston is stuck and bent. I do have the manifold. but total engine is needed along with breather. I am going to southern ill first at marian, then up to dekalb. thanks bill
