I had a similar problem in my CIH 885. Had the pump replaced at the dealer. When I got it back it worked ok with a 6' bushhog. later in the spring I hooked up the plow and it wouldn't raise it or just raise it very slowly. Finally after several calls to the service dept and following their suggestions it worked ok. I don't think anyting they suggested really helped, I think it had air in the system. I didn't have any leaks in the system and the other hydralics and power steering worked ok. Later when I checked the fluid level it was way down. I posted on here about it and got a lot of suggestions. One was don't be afraid to overfill the hydralics. I didn't overfill but I made sure the system was filled. My owner's manual says park the tractor on a level surface and run it for 3 minutes at 1600 RPM, turn off the tractor and immediately check the fluid level. Have not had any trouble since. Knock on wood.
