Cleaned off all the grime from my new 730 Diesel and found the source, a head gasket leak between the heads. Any tips on changing the gasket, it looks pretty simple.. comments from someone who has changed one ?? Thanks Rollin

Had a valve job done on my 730 diesel heads this spring. The head gaskets are pretty easy. Make sure everything is really clean. After I torqued the bolts down I ran the engine for about 45 minutes then torqued the bolts again this is important. I just followed the service manual instructions and it worked out.

Second what Keith said. The manual for the 500 specs to retorque while hot, think this is important. You may have to make a tool to get the nuts under the rocker shafts. I bought a cheap wrench and bent it to make a custom crowfoot extension.
